About this decision

Tillsonburg’s first Transportation Master Plan was endorsed on July 13, 2026. Endorsement supplies a planning framework; it does not prove every recommended road, walking or cycling project has money, a contract or a construction date. The immediate accountability task is to connect selected recommendations to subsequent budget lines and delivery decisions. Residents should be able to see which safety or capacity problem a project addresses, whose road it is, the alternatives assessed and the evidence used to choose its place in the queue.

What the evidence establishes

The choices on the table

These are editorial alternatives to test, not attributed candidate promises.

Safety-first sequencing

Editorial alternative: rank work by collisions, crossings and exposure; explain how capacity projects compare.

Renewal coordination

Editorial alternative: align transport changes with scheduled utility and road renewal, with transparent timing trade-offs.

Questions that still deserve an explanation

  • Which three recommendations come first and what evidence ranks them?
  • What funding is actually approved for each?
  • How will safety and accessibility outcomes be measured?
  • Which proposals depend on County action?
