Background
Long-serving councillor, deputy mayor and Tillsonburg Lions Club volunteer.
Beres was first elected in 1994. His 2026 interview describes eight council terms, including the past three as deputy mayor, and a brief period performing mayoral duties in 2014.
Now retired, he comes from a family with a longstanding Broadway business. His community service includes roughly five decades with the Lions Club and membership in the Royal Canadian Legion.
